Notes
  • Masks and transparent backgrounds aren't supported and return 400.
  • The "Gemini Official Direct" group has no /v1/images/edits; pass reference images in image / images on generations.
  • The model ID has no -image suffix: gemini-nano-banana-2.1.
  • Supports 1K / 2K / 4K (4K measured at 5504×3072); 512 is not supported. Aspect ratios are the same as the other Gemini image models.
  • Official token prices (per 1M tokens): input $1.50 (text / image), text and thinking output $7.50, image output $30, cache reads $0.075. This model emits thinking tokens.
