AI API for Hong Kong Teams: One Key, USD Billing, AlipayHK

The short answer: HopBase gives a Hong Kong team one API key for Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok, for Chinese models such as DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, Kimi and Doubao, and for video models including Kling 4.0, Seedance and Hailuo. Text models use the OpenAI-compatible endpoint https://api.hop-base.com/v1, so the official OpenAI SDK works after you change base_url and the key. Claude uses the native Anthropic protocol at https://api.hop-base.com (no /v1), which is what Claude Code uses. A key can include 1 to 10 groups. Billing is pay-as-you-go in USD with no subscription. You can top up with Visa / Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, AlipayHK, Alipay or WeChat Pay, and the top-up page shows any payment fee before you pay. The Usage page exports itemised CSV you can recompute line by line, and every finished video task reports the exact USD it cost. The console and docs are available in Traditional Chinese as well as English.

Pick the groups you need when you create the key. Each request is served and billed by the group that covers the model. Call GET /v1/models first and use only the IDs it returns.

Reconciliation your finance team can check

  1. Itemised CSV. Filter the Usage page by date range, key, member, department or key creator and export up to 50,000 rows and 400 days per file. Each row carries time, model, usage, official cost and the charged amount, so every line can be recomputed.
  2. Per-task cost. When an async task (video, async images) finishes, its single-task query returns usage.cost_usd, the USD actually deducted for that task. An uncharged failure reports 0.
  3. What is not billed. Requests rejected or failed before producing output are not billed. A response interrupted after output began is charged only for the usage already generated.
  4. Budgets per key. Give each customer, project or team its own key with a spend cap and a concurrency cap. Hitting the spend cap returns 402 insufficient_quota; hitting the concurrency cap returns 429. Any key can be revoked instantly without affecting the others.
  5. Departments. Enterprise accounts have members, departments and three quota levels (key, member, department). Department managers see their own department's keys and usage; the account owner sees the whole organisation.

Traditional Chinese console and docs

The console language switcher includes 繁體中文（香港）, and the integration docs have a Traditional Chinese edition, for example the Traditional Chinese quickstart; the English edition starts at the quickstart, and video parameters are in the video overview. API error messages follow the request's Accept-Language header; branch on the code field and HTTP status, not the message text.

Two things to verify yourself

  • Model fidelity. Service attributes for each group are published on the pricing page. Our reproducible fidelity test works against any provider, including us.
  • Data handling. For normally completed synchronous text calls, HopBase records operational metadata (model, tokens, latency, status); complete prompts and replies are not stored as independent usage fields. Traffic is TLS-encrypted and keys are stored as one-way hashes. Async tasks, uploads and generated assets follow a separate persistence path. FAQ

Can one key call Claude, GPT and video models?

Yes. A key can include 1 to 10 groups across platforms. Claude uses the Anthropic protocol (https://api.hop-base.com, i.e. /v1/messages); GPT and video use the matching endpoints under https://api.hop-base.com/v1.

Can I top up with AlipayHK?

Yes. Visa / Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, AlipayHK, Alipay and WeChat Pay are accepted. Billing is in USD with no subscription, and any fee is shown before you pay.

How do I reconcile a month of usage?

Export itemised CSV from the Usage page and recompute each line. For async tasks, use usage.cost_usd from the task query.

Are failed requests billed?

No. Requests that fail before producing output are not billed, and neither are failed video tasks.

Is there a Traditional Chinese interface?
